# White Moon hires mosaic

A crop from the high resolution lunar mosaic, wavelet sharpened and presented as a negative, so the bright ray systems thrown out by the younger craters read as dark streaks and the smooth plains as pale ground. Inverting a lunar image is a standard way of seeing faint contrast the eye slides over in the positive. Photographed with an Altair Astro 8 inch Ritchey Chretien at 1625mm on an ASI120MM.
