# Sun photosphere in white light (2 of 2)

The Sun's photosphere assembled from several panels into one wide frame, sunspot groups spread across it, faculae bright near the limb and granulation over the surface. Taken through a 12 nm hydrogen alpha filter, around 240 times wider than the half angstrom needed to isolate the line, so it acts here as a red passband over the visible surface rather than reaching the chromosphere above it. Photographed with an Svbony 432MC on a Skywatcher GTI.
